Philippians 4

Verse 2-3: What area of your life do you experience the most conflict? How do you deal with that conflict?

How does God want us to deal with conflict?

Verse 4-7: What’s more fun for you, complaining or rejoicing? Why should we take on a heart of rejoicing?

What does it mean to be reasonable? What are the characteristics of someone who is reasonable? Do you feel like it’s everyone else in the world who isn’t being reasonable?

AnxietyWhen you are anxious or frustrated, how do you deal with it? Why would prayer help? Does God answer all of our prayers?

Verse 8-9: Who or what did you want to be when you were growing up? Did you ever try to emulate that person?

Why would Paul encourage us to set our minds on things that are true, honorable, pure, lovely, commendable, and excellent? What happens if we don’t?

What are the thoughts that give you anxiety? Do you think you can control what you think about?

Verse 10-13: What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve ever had to face? Have those challenges broken you or strengthened you?

What does it take to be content in life?

What does it mean that “I can do all things through him who strengthens me”?

Verse 14-20: What is easier for you to do, one-time giving or giving regularly? Why?

What’s easiest for you to give – finances, influence, skill, time? What’s the hardest?

What are practical ways we can grow in our generosity?
