Verse 1-2: What was the last big vacation you took? How did you prepare? Did the destination meet your expectations?

What are some of your favorite Old Testament stories? How did God make himself known to his people?
How is Jesus different than the prophets?

What does it mean that the world was created through Jesus? Didn’t God create the universe?

Verse 3-4: Do you have any kids that are like you? What makes them like you?

In what way does Jesus reflect the nature of his father?
Is Jesus a reflection of the Father by who he is or by what he does?
As Christians, do we glorify God by being Christian or by what we do as Christians?

Verse 5-6: It is quite common for Christians to talk about the influence of Satan in the world. Do you think angels have an influence in the world?

Why does the author compare Jesus to angels? How does Jesus compare?

Why should anyone spend time worshipping God at all? Does God need our worship?

We worship and obey because:
1. He is God.
[Gen 1; John 1:1; Rev 4:11]

2. It’s our duty.
[Eccl 12:13; Acts 5:29; Eph 6:6]

3. We are thankful
[1 Thess 5:18; PS 95:2; PS 100:4; Phil 4:6; 2 Cor 4:15; Eph 5:20; Col 3:15-16]

4. We expect rewards
[Mark 10:30; Matt 5:12; Luke 6:23; Heb 11:6; Rev 22:12; Dt 28:1-4]

5. We want to avoid punishment.
[Dt 5:9; Nahum 1:2; Dt 28:15-68]

Verse 7-9: Have you ever had a position of leadership at work? What are some key differences between the positional leaders and the laborers? How do positional leaders attain their position?

Is Jesus the leader of your life or do you treat him like a laborer? How do we make Jesus the leader of our life?

Verse 10-12: How would your life be different if you knew you would live for 10,000 years? What would be the same?

Why is it important to note that Jesus is eternal? What does it say about Jesus?

Verse 13-14: What is a ministry you have today? What’s more attractive to you, sitting and waiting until your enemies are a footstool or ministering and serving? What is the attitude Jesus wants us to have?
