2 John 1

Verse 1-3: Have you ever had a mentor? What made that person special in your life?
Who are you mentoring now? Is that an important part of your spiritual growth?
What role do elders play in your church? What is your relationship with your elders?

Verse 4: What kind of relationship do your children have with God today? What effect do parents have on their children’s spiritual life? What can’t we control?

Verse 5-6: What are the most important things you teach your kids about Christianity? How can we be the most effective in raising godly children?

How do we show love to God?

Verse 7-8: Is there anything offensive about Christianity? Why would anyone be opposed to Christianity?

If saved people can never be lost, why do you think John had to warn the woman in this letter to watch herself? Can Christians be deceived? What can a saved Christian possibly lose if he’s already received salvation?

Verse 9: Do you know anyone who’s given up the faith? Why did that happen?

Verse 10-11: Have you ever stopped consuming a good, stopped socializing with someone, or stopped visiting a place because you disagreed with someone? Is that good or bad?

Do you think your church would ever kick someone out? Should churches do that? What kind of people should churches accept and who could they reject?

Verse 12-13: Do you think the heavy usage of video conferencing will continue forever? Does it matter if people meet in person? Why or why not?
