This is a list of prayers focused on the advancement of the Kingdom.

It is not meant to be a list of personal needs nor is it meant to be a list of requests that we be relieved of our personal difficulties, a.k.a. as “Aunt Mabel’s bunions.”

This is a living post. It will be updated often with new topics. Check back often.

Leadership

[“1 Timothy 2:1-2 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.”]
[“Proverbs 21:1 The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He will.”]

• Pray that leaders govern well.
• Pray that leaders have wisdom, are impartial, and are just.
• Pray that godly leaders are raised up and the others replaced.

Government

• President, Vice-president, Cabinet
• House and Senate Leadership
• Appellate and Supreme Courts
• Governor and Lt. Governor

• City Manager and City Staff

Kingdom

[Pray that ears are opened, so that they may hear the word; that hearts are softened, so they may believe the word; that necks are unstiffened, so they may turn to God, and that eyes are opened so that they may see God’s glory.]
[Pray God’s name be hallowed and His Kingdom come. God’s name includes his mercy, grace, long-sufferance,  abundant lovingkindness,  truth, forgiveness, and justice.]

New Covenant Bible Church

• Pray for Unity
  [John 17: 20-21 for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.]
• Pray for Wisdom
  [James 1:5-6 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting
• Pray for Boldness to Speak the Gospel.
  [Acts 4:29 And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness]
• Pray that we love one another
  [1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.]
• Pray that we faithfully disciple new believers and one another.

Missions

• Pray for each of NCBC’s missionaries.
  [Pray the prayers listed above.
  Pray that they find a man of peace to facilitate their entry into that society.]
• Pray for each of NCBC’s local organic ministries.

The Harvest Field

• Pray that God sends out the harvesters. 
• Pray for God’s intercession in the news items. Pray that God’s glory is displayed in each situation. Pray that the truth is made evident and not hidden. Pray that motivations become clear.
