1 Thessalonians 4

Verse 1-2: Have you ever been on a road trip where you planned your trip with a map and then got lost? What happened?

When was the last spiritual low point in your life and what was going on when you realized it? What do you think brought you to that place?

Verse 3-8: What do you consider sexual immorality? What is the danger of sexual immorality?

“Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:18-20‬ ‭ESV‬‬

How is sexual immorality a transgression against a brother? What is God’s view of sexuality? What is God’s intention for it?

Verse 9-10: Why do you think Christians in America are so generous in times of need but do reluctant to give to church regularly?

Verse 11-12: Does this passage sound like something we should aspire to? Living quietly, minding your own affairs, working with your hands?

Is this type of living a good way to influence the world? Why or why not?

Verse 13-14: If we go to heaven when we die, why is it important that there’s a resurrection?

Verse 15-18: Do you have concern that the world is coming to an end? Is this a concern we should have/need to have?
