Have you ever felt left out? Were you ever not picked for a team or rejected? Was that a good thing or a bad thing?

Verse 1-2: Do you find a correlation between what Paul is trying to address here and what’s happening in churches today?

When there is sin in the church, how should we deal with it?

Why does Paul say they should be in mourning and kick the guy out? Aren’t we all sinners? Why is Paul trying to shun this guy?

Verse 3: Why is Paul judging the people in the church? He’s not even there. How is he able to pass judgment in the name of the Lord?

Verse 4-5: Why is it important to address the man when they are assembled? Can’t they just send in an elder?

What does it mean to hand someone over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh? How will his spirit be saved in the days of the Lord if he gets handed over to Satan?

Is this an example of how we are to hold each other accountable?

Verse 6: What do you think the church in Corinth was boasting about?

Is it important to set standards of behavior for Christian brothers and sisters? Why or why not? How should we determine those standards?

What’s the difference between our judgement and God’s judgement?

Is your church community so attractive that it would be a punishment for someone not to be a part of it?
